Psychotherapy is a place to feel safe enough to reflect, look deeper inside and to know ourselves by being known.  When something is causing an uncomfortability, even a dis-ease within our psyches we often respond by thinking that we need to get rid of the pain rather than feel it and learn what it has to teach us.

What is happening in your innermost self is worthy of your entire love. -RILKE-

Feeling and learning the sore places in our lives is a difficult and vastly creative process that often calls for the aid of another.  As relational beings we cannot know ourselves fully without another person listening and mirroring back in the thoughtful work of understanding.

Your great mistake is to act the drama as if you were alone….
Put down the weight of your aloneness and ease into the conversation.   –DAVID WHYTE
